Holiday Orange Cranberry Salad

It is that wonderful holiday time of year again... funny how it comes around faster and faster every year.

We started making this cranberry orange jello salad a few years back and now it has become a Thanksgiving and Christmas tradition.... my mom originally found the recipe and shared it with me.  When I read it, I thought...."this sounds terrible"  but she said it was really good, and I trust her taste, so I gave it a whirl...

Try if for yourself and decide.....

Orange Cranberry Salad

1 large box Cherry Jello
1 orange chopped with peel
1 large can crushed pineapple - do not drain
4 Cups whole Cranberries chopped
1 C Celery chopped

Mix jello with 1 1/3 cup boiling water, 3/4 cup sugar, 2 Tbs. Lemon Juice, 1/4 tsp salt.  Add pineapple, orange, celery, cranberry.  Still well and refrigerate till set.  I usually make it the day before, but it does set up really fast.
